Digital Press Operator

More Vang prints using offset lithography, digital toner, digital inkjet and wide format printing. We are looking for a candidate who is curious, empathetic and unfailingly optimistic.The ideal candidate must be able to follow verbal and written directions, maintain an organized and safe work area and have a keen eye for detail. The position is located in Alexandria, VA. This is an hourly position with opportunities for overtime during busy periods. This is a fully on-site position. what you will be doing:

  • Operate a Canon varioPRINT iX3200 inkjet press and/or Canon ImagePRESS C9010 VP 
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required
  • Make adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications
  • Keep color profiles necessary for consistency and calibration
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations

  • Ability to read and comprehend job tickets and customer specifications
  • Ability to apply written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail, including color perception and recognition
  • Ability to stand for the duration of a shift 
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Familiarity with the use of the following software: Canon Prisma, Agfa, Apogee, MS Office, Google Apps
  • Able to commit to overtime and weekend work when requested or scheduled
  • Experience with other digital presses may apply—training can be provided
  • Able to move freely throughout the building to gather information and materials as needed
  • Proven history of punctuality and a strong work ethic
  • Basic PC skills to process jobs promptly
  • Applicants must pass a drug screening and a background check
