Finding New Ways to Connect from Afar

Like you, many of us have been working from home over the last two months. Some of us have small children at home, some of us are in isolation, some of us have seven grown (or nearly grown) family members living under one roof. This is all to say that, no matter the situation, WFH under these circumstances is challenging at best.

While technology has allowed us to continue working and connect with each other virtually, it’s no replacement for real human interaction. We know stress is dangerous, both physically and mentally, and it’s safe to say we’ve never lived through a more stressful time. So we decided to do something about it.

We created a WFH Relief kit for our team members, full of clever ideas to feel connected and valuable to the More Vang brand.

The kit includes a journal—since we could all use a break from our screens to get our thoughts and feelings down on paper—some helpful self-care strategies and tips, and a poster illustrated by our very own Miranda Pellicano.

It’s a drawing of the cherry blossoms near the Tidal Basin that none of us were allowed to visit this year. We also included colored pencils and a pack of playing cards.

This kit isn’t going to solve the world’s problems, but we hope it brings a smile to our team members’ faces and helps relieve some of the tension we’re all feeling.

Be well. Be optimistic. Be kind.
Especially to yourself.
