Elevating Event Experiences with Curated and Creative Wayfinding

In April, ARC and APTCO hosted Elevate + TravelConnect 2024, where over seven-hundred travel industry professionals ascended on Washington Hilton for the three-day event. Like many conferences, this year was a return from COVID-19. The teams wanted to go big to create an exceptional user experience. Together our teams planned, designed and outfitted the entirety of the Washington Hilton Conference event space with event branding and directional signage.

While the event came and went in a matter of days, More Vang and ARC had been planning the event for months.

Our team initially walked the space last September, which was the first of many site surveys. We got a feel for the space while learning the conference program and schedule. There were dozens of calls leading up to the event to come up with ideas and discuss products, logistics and pricing questions.

With an understanding of the conference areas, we made  experiential and wayfinding graphic recommendations. Our team measured the entire space and, when needed, provided blank templates to ARC to ensure the art was set up correctly for production and installation.

Project management and organization was central to the success of this project. The event had spreadsheets to keep us on track and a central site map with key to outline where all signage was going. In the end, we produced over 200 items of signage and graphics for upwards of 60,000 sq ft of event space. Additionally, the event was carried into neighboring venues where we produced event signage for a networking reception.

The result was an amazing in-person event, with signage that helped attendees to locate each space easily, as well as brand each space with both brands effectively. We are thrilled with the results, but more importantly, the event was a success and our client was thrilled with the project.
